PHE employees demand salaries before Eid

SRINAGAR, May 22: The contractual PHE employees today staged massive protest against the administration for not releasing their hard earned salary for more than 20 months. The protesting employees demanded that their salaries should be released before Eid.
The employees under the banner of Kashmir PHE Joint Employees Association protested against the callous approach of the authorities with regard to their payable salaries.
They said that the Govt had constituted a committee that was tasked to submit its report, but that too has not been done. “The committee was headed by Rohit Kansal and was asked to submit its report, but what is shocking is that the report has not been submitted so far,” they said.

The protestors, while saying that no one was coming out with any road map to get out issues settled, they said that “nobody is taking our issues seriously; nobody is out to help us.”
The leadership of the association has demanded that their salaries should be released this week, before Eid so that they can also feed their families. “We are demanding that out salaries which are due from last 20 months should be released at least on this Eid, so that we can celebrate it in a good manner,” they said.
