JAMMU, Apr 27: Senior leaders of PHE Employees United Front called on Commissioner Secretary to PHE/I&FC at Jammu today and discussed various issues and pending demands of the PHE workers.
All the issues of the casual workers and others were brought into the notice of Commissioner Secretary. The Front leaders demanded speeding up the regularization of casual workers in light of SRO-520, month-wise wages for all sorts of workers, clearance of all pending wages of workers, compassionate appointments of next of kin and of the deceased workers and Rs 5 lakh special assistance to the retired casual workers and holding of screening committee meetings on time bound manner.
In the meeting, the Front also stressed for relaxation of the existing conditions like non-payment of wages to the such workers who have not received 12-month continue wages upto March 2016 and considering first appointment of the workers from the month he has drawn first wages, etc.
The Commissioner Secretary gave a patient hearing to the Front leaders and said that all their demands were under active consideration of the Government.
The leaders of PHE Employees United Front who were part of the meeting, included Shiv Kumar Sharma, Kartar Chand Dubey, Subash Verma, Kulbushan Singh, Banu Partap Singh, Binkel Manhas, Ravi Kumar, Balbadhur Sharma, Hoshiar Singh and Devlnder Singh.
