UDHAMPUR, Feb 2: Jal Shakti (PHE) Employees and Workers Association here today held a meeting under the chairmanship of Som Nath, Association president.
Speaking in the meeting, Nath demanded regularization of CP, ITI and Land Case Workers who have completed seven years of service.
He also demanded release of pending wages of workers which are pending for the last 60 months, paying wages as per Minimum Wages Act and engagement of workers as per norms so that the work may run smoothly and properly.
More demands raised by the Association president included conduction of departmental promotion committee at division level and provincial level and at least twice a year in Mechanical Division Udhampur.
His other demands included that half cadre post should be converted to full cadre for the benefit of permanent staff and cases of SRO 43 lying pending should be cleared immediately.
Vijay Sharma, Suraj Prakash, Dinesh Kesar and others were also present in the meeting.
