REASI, May 10 : The Water Works PHE Employees Association held a protest at Reasi under the leadership of Munshi Ram, president district Reasi unit.
A large number of employees and workers drawn from various parts of district Reasi joined the protest.
While speaking on the occasion, Munshi Ram appealed to the higher authorities in the PHE Department to release the pending wages and make provision for disbursal of wages on monthly basis, creation of posts for regularization of daily wagers etc.
He also demanded speedy regularization of the casual workers, engagement of workers to over come shortage, change of designation of workers, conduct of DPC at divisional and provincial levels.
