JAMMU, Jan 29: PHE Workers Welfare Association has postponed the proposed protest programme on February 5.
In a meeting of the Association held here today under the chairmanship of Subhash Verma, general secretary of the Association, the members unanimously resolved to postpone protest programme of February 5. It was also decided that now protest demonstration will be held on February 15, 2016. The venue of the protest demonstration shall be the office premises of Chief Engineer on BC Road despite the restrictions imposed by the PHE authorities.
The members appealed to the State Governor NN Vohra to intervene personally and resolve the pending issues of PHE employees which included release of 6 % DA due from July 2015, provide wages of all type PHE workers before 5th of every month and the regularization of daily rated workers.
