POONCH, Jan 15: Executive Engineer, PHE Division Poonch has clarified the report regarding water crisis in Chhatral area of Mendhar for the last four months.
While clarifying the news report appeared in this paper on Friday, the Executive Engineer said that supply is affected at the village for the four months. Infact, both the motors at the PHE station at the village got damaged on December 31, 2015 and another which was stand by to the first, got damaged on January 3. The reason for this is the low voltage. He claimed that these motors have been dispatched to Jammu for repair and are likely to be received by January 16. He said the water supply will be restored within two days.
