JAMMU, Aug 24: PHE Workers Welfare Association (PHEWWA) has decided to join strike call given for September 2, in support of workers’ demands.
The trade unions have been demanding regularization of all type of daily rated workers, Rs 15000 as minimum wage per month, implementation of 7th Pay Commission report in favour of Central and State Government employees. It has also been demanded that all kinds of workers may be brought under the cover of social security and the wages to the workers be given regularly every month.
PHE Workers Welfare Association on the call of all Central level trade unions, has served notice to the Chief Engineer, PHE Department, Jammu for strike, Union spokesman said.
