REASI, Mar 14: Vice-Chancellor, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine University, Prof Sudhir K Jain on Friday inaugurated election related photo exhibition at University auditorium.
The photo exhibition has been hosted by district administration aimed at two day electoral literacy to generate awareness as well as demonstrating the electoral practices and ethical voting values.
Registrar SMVDU, Ajay Khajuria, ADC Reasi, Rajinder Singh Tara, PO DRDA Dr Jagdish Mehra besides other senior officers were also present on the occasion. Faculty and students of SMVDU actively participated in the photo display on Election Commission’s Electoral literacy Campaign.
Master trainers displayed Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) and live polling booth for awareness besides a movie show was also organized regarding various activities organized under electoral awareness campaign and ethical voting practice.
This was third photo exhibition in the series of electoral photo exhibitions organized under SVEEP campaign Jashn-e-Jamhuriat and displayed material on electoral literacy, ethical and informed voting, photographs from various events organized in the district, voter lists of surrounding polling booths, artistic displays, paintings and drawings.
A series of campaigns organized for electoral awareness and participation like “Green Vote” plantation drive, “Blood for Democracy”- series of blood donation camps, “Jai Kissan, Jai Hindustan”-series of camps for Farmers’ electoral awareness, Women campaign and door to door campaign apart from signature drive and pledge series were reflected in the photo exhibition.
