JAMMU, June 6: A photojournalist of a local TV channel was assaulted by a youth in the Akhnoor area.
Police spokesman said that, Sachin Kumar, son of Kuldeep Raj resident of Akhnoor first assaulted Satpal Sharma, son of Beli Ram Sharma, resident of Gurha Brahmana, Akhnoor and later stabbed him with a scissor over some tiff. After committing the offence, Sachin fled from the spot.
He said that, after getting information, police party from Akhnoor Police Station, Mahesh Sharma rushed to the spot and shifted Satpal to Akhnoor hospital, for treatment. Satpal was later discharged from the hospital, he added.
A case has been registered at Police Station Akhnoor, while a manhunt was on to nab Sachin.
