PHQ posts re-designated

JAMMU, Jan 10: Government today ordered re-designation of posts for Police Headquarters and deputation of a police officer to the Prisons Department.
An order issued in this context said that in order to augment the work structure and process in Police Headquarters, sanction has been accorded to the re-designation/designation of the post of Inspector General of Police (Crime Intelligence Vigilance) Police Headquarters as Inspector General of Police (Police Operations & Services) Police Headquarters, AIG (Crime Intelligence Vigilance) Police Headquarters as AIG (Crime & Complaints) Police Headquarters and Superintendent of Police created vide Government order number 655-Home of 2023 dated December 31, 2023 as AIG (Counter Terrorism and Intelligence) Police Headquarters.
Consequent upon re-designation/designation of posts, Government also ordered transfer and posting of police officers.
The order said that JS Johar, AIG (Training & Policy) PHQ, has been transferred and posted as AIG (Crime & Complaints) PHQ, Wasim Qadri, awaiting adjustment, has been posted as AIG (Tech) PHQ vice Manoj Kumar Pandit, Shafqat Hussain, Commandant IR-6th Battalion, has been transferred and posted as AIG (Counter Terrorism and Intelligence) PHQ, and Manoj Kumar Pandit, AIG (Tech) PHQ, holding additional charge of the post of Director Police Telecommunication, J&K, has been transferred and posted as AIG (Training and Policy) PHQ vice JS Johar. Pandit shall also continue to hold the additional charge of the post of Director Police Telecommunication, J&K.
Meanwhile, the Government has also accorded the sanction to the deputation of Zulfikar Azad, Assistant Director, SKPA Udhampur, to the Prisons Department, on the standard terms and conditions of deputation, as laid down in Schedule XVIII of the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Service Regulations, 1956, Volume-I.
Consequent upon his deputation, Azad has been further posted as Superintendent of Jail, Srinagar.
