JAMMU, Sept 21: Chairman Public Health Sanitation Committee (PHSC) of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Narinder Singh Jamwal here today toured Trikuta Nagar (Bharat Mata Mandir) and its adjoining areas of Ward 52 to take stock of grievances of the people there especially the grievances pertaining to sanitation concerns.
Jamwal was accompanied by JMC Health Officer, Dr. Sanjogita Soodan and Councillor of Ward 52, Ajay Gupta during the tour while officers of Health and Transport Wing of JMC including CTO, Harvinder Singh and Sanitary Officers—Rajinder and Harjeet Singh were also present there.
PHSC Chairman interacted with locals of the area who talked about problems pertaining to sanitation.
They said that there is a dire need for maintaining sanitation in all the areas to stop breeding of mosquitoes and other insects.
Issue of garbage disposal was also raised.
Jamwal said that the people are required to ensure that garbage coming out of their houses goes to the bins provided by JMC at designated spots from where it is picked by JMC trucks.
He also passed necessary instructions to the accompanying JMC staff to maintain highest standard of sanitation in the area and ensure a healthy environment.
