JAMMU, Jan 30:  A Physiotherapy centre has been added to Justice Mehar Chand Mahajan Charitable Hospital, Gandhi Nagar, which is a unit of Central Mahajan Sabha Jammu and caters to the needs of thousands of patients suffering from multiple ailments, free of costs.
Speaker of Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Kavinder Gupta formally dedicated this Physiotherapy clinic to public, in the presence of MLA Jammu East, Rajesh Gupta, MLC Ramesh Arora, president Central Mahajan Sabha and others.
Speaking on the occasion, the Speaker announced Rs 2 lakh for the development of the hospital from his Constituency Development Fund and assured more help to upgrade the necessary infrastructure there.
MLA Rajesh Gupta and MLC Ramesh Arora also spoke on the occasion and congratulated the hospital administration, especially Dr Anita Gupta, Physiotherapist for her endeavour in setting up of Physiotherapy Unit.  Ramesh Arora also announced Rs 2 lakh for development of the hospital and hoped that the people would avail full benefits of the Physiotherapy facilities.
President Central Mahajan Sabha, Jammu, Vinod Gupta, presided over the function and highlighted the functioning and achievements of the hospital. For establishing the Physiotherapy unit, he appreciated the efforts of Dr Anita Gupta, who along with her team was present on the occasion.
Earlier, floral tributes were offered to Justice Mehar Chand by the Speaker and other dignitaries.
President, Brahmin Pratinidhi Sabha, Ved Sharma, president of Rajput Sabha, Narayan Singh, general secretary, CMSJ, Chander Mohan Gupta, president of Jat Sabha Manmohan Choudhary, president of Jammu Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Rakesh Gupta, general secretary Arun Gupta, Lala Amarnath Gupta, Om Parkash, K B Jandyal, Murari Lal, Dr Subash Gupta, Dr Madan Gopal, staff of the hospital, besides large number of social workers and prominent citizens were also present on the occasion.
