Pilgrim dies, 6 injured in road mishap

UDHAMPUR, Nov 19: A woman on pilgrimage to Mata Vaishno Devi, died and six persons were injured in collision between two cars near Garni on National Highway Udhampur.
According to the reports a Tavera car, bearing registration number JK02AS-0699 was on its way from Katra to Patnitop when it collided with a Ford Figo car JK14B-8436 near Garni.
Locals and police took the injured persons to District Hospital Udhampur where doctors declared one woman among the victims as brought dead.
The deceased was identified as Swarpa Vijay Sinh Gund (55) wife of Vijay Sinh Rakmaji Pati Gund, resident of Vasti Mohol Solapur Maharashtra. She along with three others was on pilgrimage to Mata Vaishno Devi shrine. After paying obeisance at the Bhawan, they were on way to Patnitop when their vehicle met with the accident.
The injured were identified as Rimpa Enjaya (13), son of Ronak Jagdhana of Gujrat, Jai Shree Charanga (62) wife of Bass Sab Charanga of Salopur (MP), Arjun (23), son of Chain Singh of Ramnagar, Karvika Jagdhana (8), daughter of Ronak of Gujrat, Lucky Sharma (18) son of Sham Lal and Kashif (19), son of Ishtiaq Ahmed of Nagrota Udhampur.
The injured are undergoing treatment at District Hospital Udhampur.
