JAMMU, Aug 24: Jammu and Kashmir Pir Panjal Awami Party senior leaders led by Party patron Raja Mohammed Abbas Khan and Party president Mohammed Younas Chauhan visited the bereaved families whose near and dears were killed during recent Pak firing in Balakote Sector in Poonch district.
The two leaders expressed their sympathies with the bereaved families and demanded an exgratia of R s 10 lakh for the dead and Rs five lakh for the injured.
They also demanded compensation for the animals killed in cross border firing and the crops damaged due to shelling.
Later they also met the cross section of people in Balakote to know about their problems. The residents of the border area demanded that the Government should allow them to visit their agriculture fields and houses near Zero line.
The border people also cursed those who sabotaged the NSA level talks and appealed both countries to come on negotiating table to end the hostilities and killing of innocent people.
