Relief is the only source of income for many displaced families and stoppage of this for technical reasons is the height of callousness, Bakaya said.

He reminded the Government that the amount of relief is not adequate and its stoppage is an extreme case of human right violation.
K P Sabha president, K K Khosa expressed his anguish saying that relief amount of Rs 3250 being paid to per person has not been paid this month till now. He said usually the amount is credited into the relief holders bank account latest by the 5th of each month. There are certain families which have no other source of income and release of amount is critical for them to meet their monthly expenses on account of consumable items, medicines and other expenses and demanded that the same be released without further delay.
