PK asks EU to visit victims of genocide

Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, Oct 29: On the visit of the delegation of the European Union (EU) to Kashmir, Panun Kashmir (PK) president, Virender Raina said that it would have been most appropriate if the European Union delegation would have visited the victims of the genocide and ethnic cleansing in Kashmir.
In a statement issued here, today he said the delegation of the EU needs to take note that the indigenous people of Kashmir, the Kashmiri Pandits were thrown out of Kashmir on the basis of religion and suffered the biggest exodus of Independent India. The EU that prides itself as the conscience keeper of the world and the guarantor of human rights all around the world should note that Kashmiri Pandits have been the worst victims of Human Rights violations in Kashmir and have not been allowed to return to their homes and hearths for the last 30 years. Juxtaposing this with the loss of internet facilities in Kashmir of a particular community and terming it as a grave violation of Human Rights is a crude joke on the victims of worst terrorist violence.
EU must see through the machinations of the rouge State of Pakistan and call a spade a spade. The members of the EU delegation must spare some time to visit the victims of the Islamist terror in Kashmir. The Kashmiri Pandit community has been languishing in exile for the last 30 years in Jammu and other parts of the country yet no EU delegation thought it fit to visit the hapless people. The moral high ground that EU holds can only remain should it not get carried away by false propaganda of the Islamists and their surrogates.
The simple fact is that Pakistan has been waging a war in Kashmir continuously for the last 30 years using Islamic terrorists and the peace loving community of Kashmiri Pandits have been their first target. The survivors of this terror onslaught have been struggling for the reclamation of their Homeland in Kashmir but have not succeeded till date.
We appeal to the members of the European Union visiting Kashmir to use their influence to stop terror sponsorship from Pakistan and also use their clout for the reversal of the genocide perpetrated on Kashmiri Pandits.
