JAMMU, Dec 13: Panun Kashmir (PK) conducted the meeting of its Political Affairs Committee (PAC) under the chairmanship of Virender Raina, chairman of the Committee here, today to discuss the current political scenario and the organizational issues in context of the P K president’s visit to Malaysia and Indonesia to participate in the Asia-Pacific Hindu Conference and the Asia-Pacific Human Rights Summit.
Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo, president, PK , Prof. M.L.Raina, its advisor, Upinder Kaul, general secretary, Kamal Bagati, general secretary (Org), Prof. Ritu Bakshi, vice chairperson-Daug-hters of PK, Vimla Chrungoo, Vijay Sapru, S.L.Bhat, Ashok Chrungoo, B.L.Garyali, Pramod Kumar, Pulkit and Sameer Bhat, convener, P K Youth attended the meeting.
Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo, while addressing the meeting said that P K appreciates the positive decisions of the Governor’s administration regarding the successful conduct of elections of the ULBs and the Panchayats in the State. He said the decision regarding the Divisional Status of the Ladakh region is also a classic and correct way of bringing people of Ladakh at par with the Kashmir and Jammu regions and nationalist forces endorse it fully. He said the battle against corruption in the State has the mandate of the people at large.
He said P K fully supports the statement of the External Affairs Minister, Sushma Swaraj that Pakistan should leave all the occupied areas of Jammu and Kashmir State which it has illegally occupied in 1947 and thereafter. This expression is in tune with the 1994 unanimous resolution of the Parliament on J&K State. “We urge upon the Speaker of the Lok Sabha to initiate Privilege Motion proceedings against any member of the House who speaks or works against this historic resolution of the Parliament”, he added.
He said the infiltration bids and support to terrorism by Pakistan has brought death and destruction to the J&K State and the security forces are doing a yeoman’s job to rid people of this menace.
Virender Raina, Chairman, PAC said that the invitation received by the President of P K for attending the Asia-Pacific Hindu Conference at Bali-Indonesia after his attendance at the World Hindu Congress at Chicago-US is recognition of our consistent efforts at national and international level. The president of Panun Kashmir, Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo will be making a presentation in the Conference on the issue of Kashmir and Kashmiri Pandits and will also focus on the struggle and situation of the Temples and Shrines of Kashmir.
