PK flays Union Govt for organizing Hurriyat leaders’ tour to Pak

JAMMU, Dec 14: Panun Kashmir (PK) held a meeting of its Political Affairs Committee here today in the backdrop of serious developments, that have the potential to negatively affect the nationalist forces in the State and also Kashmiri Pandits.
PK in a statement issued here today said that the meeting was also connected with the members of KP diaspora across the country via teleconferencing.
It said, the meeting, among others was attended by Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo, president, PK, Virender Raina its national spokesperson and Kamal Bhagati, Upinder Koul and Romesh Koul.
The tele-conferencing was organized by Sunil Handoo, coordinator South based in Bangalore. He apprised the members about the recent initiatives of KP youth based in Bangalore, Pune, Hyderabad, and Chennai.
He said there was a yearning among the KP youth to remain connected with the homeland and in the coming months concrete programme would be taken up for its attainment.
Varinder Raina while addressing the meeting said the manner in which the Government has helped against the proposed tour of Hurriyat Confernce leaders to Pakistan is shocking and the manner in which the travel documents and pass ports of the separatists were readied in a single day is shameful.
He said, the Government needs to come clean over the issue and explain to the nation as regards to dangerous maneuver of facilitating the visit of Hurriyat leaders to Pakistan.
Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo said that the recent reports that Government is preparing to handover Sir Creek to Pakistan needs to be investigated seriously. All these reports suggest that the Government is bending backwards to accommodate Pakistan and bail it out from an explosive intentional situation, he added.
