PK for involving younger generation in struggle

JAMMU, Apr 2:  Panun Kashmir (PK) organized a meeting of its reconstituted Executive Council here today which was presided over by Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo, president, PK. Among others it was attended by Prof. M.L.Raina, chairman, Political Affairs Committee, Prof. H.L.Jalali, senior vice president, Virender Raina, national spokesperson, J.L.Kaul, B.N.Khaar, vice presidents, Upinder Kaul, general secretary, Kamal Bagati, organising secretary, Vijay Qazi, Surinder Kaul, secretaries, N.M.Gadroo, treasurer and youth leaders Ravinder Punjabi, S.L.Dhar, Sameer Bhat, Pulkit Chrungoo and Ruskin Bhat.
Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo, president, PK while addressing the meeting said that it is an imperative need to strengthen the internal organizational dynamics through the process of social and cultural rejuvenation. “We have to connect our younger generation with the cultural moorings of the Kashmiri Pandits so that they contribute to the struggle in exile positively and with full force. The recently launched comprehensive political agenda by the “KP Joint Action” encompasses the entire gamut of Kashmiri Pandit aspirations and we resolve to take it forward with full vigour and zeal.
He said the PK members are requested to take this socio-political message to the society at large and involve the members of the community in this historic struggle in exile. On the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s, PK makes a fervent appeal to him to strengthen the nationalist forces in the State. Jammu province, which has assumed the position of the national security grid of India in J&K, requires special attention of the Prime Minister in order to ensure that it continues to play its critical role as a bulwark against the separatist-fundamentalist and antinational forces in the State.
Prof. M.L.Raina, chairman, Political Affairs Committee PK said that P K since its inception has given a new and different Idiom to the Kashmiri Pandit struggle that takes into account the geo-political aspirations of the community. The whole philosophy, context, declaration and the demand of homeland in Margdarshan resolution envisages a complete solution to the centuries of persecution, neglect and apathy. The focus today is definitely on the future generations and P K is conscious of its responsibilities in this direction.
Virender Raina, national spokesperson, PK said that the Kashmiri Pandits are the prime stakeholders of the territory of Kashmir and they cannot be wished away due to the caprice and whims of secessionist forces. He said that while formulating any development plans for the State, the proportionate share of the Kashmiri Pandit populace needs to be earmarked first.
