JAMMU, Nov 11: Panun Kashmir (PK) today said that terrorism and separatist war launched in Jammu and Kashmir cannot be defeated unless Government of India (GoI) recognises the genocide perpetrated on Hindus of Kashmir.
Talking to reporters here, today, PK chairman, Dr Ajay Chrungoo also urged the Centre that in addition to recognizing of KPs genocide that the Government should take steps for further reorganisation of Jammu and Kashmir.
He, while reiterating the homeland demand as the only solution to the problem of over seven lakh displaced pundits said political division of Kashmir by creating a Centrally administered Union Territory (UT) of Panun Kashmir for the permanent rehabilitation of Hindus of Kashmir and granting Jammu a separate status of a State has become a critical necessity for national security in Jammu and Kashmir.
Chrungoo said denial of genocide has helped the communal forces in Kashmir that perpetrated genocide on Hindus of Kashmir to masquerade as secular legitimate tolerant entities and spread the poison of exclusivist genocidal ideology within their own society as well as outside it. The denial of genocide policy of GoI has led to the spread of Jihad and spillover of genocidal attrition across India, he added.
The PK leader alleged that the attacks on Hindus from Manipur to West Bengal and Kerala to Kashmir are the result of GoIs tolerance to acts of Muslim communalism and regression.
He urged the Government of India (GoI) to recognise the two cardinal reasons that have allowed the democratic domain in Jammu and Kashmir including the Legislative Assembly to be used by separatists of all hues to defeat the terrorism which has eaten up vitals of country from decades together and put a grave security threat to nation.
Chrungoo said the first reason is pursuing the policy of denial of Hindu genocide in Kashmir as critical strategic imperative. The second is patronisation of halfway separatism as a political imperative. The flirtation with halfway separatism has allowed separatists to capture democratic and Governmental space. It has deepened and widened the reach of internal subversion “We have been witnessing the grim specter of a perverted political and strategic vision of GoI unfolding as a suicide,’’ and urged the Government to act firmly on these two points suggested by PK in defeating the terrorism.
PK senior leaders including P L Koul Budgami, Raj Nath Raina, its general secretary Kuldeep Raina and Satish Sher were also present in the press conference.
