PK reiterates its appeal to community members

JAMMU, Sept 12: Panun Kashmir (PK) general secretary, Kuldeep Raina said while the community is observing 30th Martyrs Day in exile, this years Martyrs Day observance has assumed much importance in the wake of annulling of Article 370 and subsequent reorganization of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh in two UTs.
Addressing PK activists during a party programme here, today in the wake of Martyrs’ Day observance on September 14, Raina said that the scheduled programme besides being dedicated to the sacrifices of thousands of community members and thousands of security forces sacrifices is also specially dedicated to Prof M K Teng one of the pioneers of PK movement who was also the chairman of the organizational Advisory Committee who passed away few months back.
He said it is a privilege for all PK activists and community members to honour the people of Ladakh region on behalf of the community who will be represented by the president of Ladakh Buddhist Association.
The meeting was attended by Dr Aghnishekhar convener PK and its chairman, Dr Ajay Chrungoo. The participants also paid homage to Chaman Lal Chrungoo father of Dr Ajay Chrungoo and also pioneer of PK who breathed his last 15 days back.
The meeting made an appeal to community members to wear black badges on the day and also participate enmass in the programme by closing all community institutions, business establishments. It appealed the KP employees to go on mass casual leave on the day.
