PK’s concern over concentration of terrorists from across border

JAMMU, Oct 15: Panun Kashmir (PK) in its political Affairs Committee (PAC) meeting here, today held under the chairmanship of Prof M L Raina deliberated over the emerging political and security scenario in the State.
The meeting among others was attended by Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo, president PK, Virender Raina its national spokesperson, Upinder Kaul general secretary, Kamal Bhagati, organizing secretary, Virender Kaul, secretary, J L Kaul, N M Gadroo, Vijay Qazi and Ramesh Kaul.
The meeting expressed concern over the concentration of terrorists from across the border in the State and particularly in Kashmir valley.
Addressing the meeting Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo said it is cause of concern that the security situation in the State has been allowed to drift to such a level that it has become a major worry for the society in general. The earlier statement of Mr Drian, the Defence Minister of France about certain developments in Pakistan including the concentration of terrorists in Pakistan should have been taken serious by the Government. His statement that the concentration of terrorists in Pakistan and international terrorist networks is worrisome as Pakistan is armed with nuclear weapons was an eye opener.
Prof M L Raina said PK is alive to dangers the India is faced and can’t remain oblivious of its duties. The PK has bounden duty to caution the nation about impending dangers.
Virender Raina said there is now an increased awareness among the Western leaders over the dangers of terrorism emanating from the territory of Pakistan yet the political leadership in India is divided on the dangers posed by the threat.
