JAMMU, Feb 26: Former Deputy Chief Minister and senior BJP leader Kavinder Gupta said that a calculated plan is being chalked out for phase by phase public infrastructure development.
He said this during his visit to the interior areas of Trikuta Nagar, Ward No 54. He also reviewed the status of public amenities available to the public. Kavinder Gupta was accompanied by BJP Jammu District President Vinay Gupta.
Gupta also inspected the ongoing works at different places in ward. He also visited adjoining areas and took note of necessary interventions required to upgrade the basic infrastructure in the locality including constructions of lanes, drains, roads, drinking water and other concerned departments.
A function was also organized in ward to listen to the grievances of the public which was organized by Councillor Ward Number 54, Neeraj Lucky Puri and Councillor Raj Kumar.
Speaking on the occasion, Kavinder Gupta informed that detailed project reports are being prepared for execution of all remaining works. He said that a carefully calculated plan is being chalked out for phase by phase public infrastructure development of the area. The execution of these projects will be meticulously carried out in a phased and time-bound manner, he added.
Kavinder said that during the first phase of works, drainage across localities would be constructed and upgraded to meet the requirements of the local populace.
He directed the concerned agencies to conduct a detailed feasibility report in accordance with the topography, other factors to ensure durability, longevity of the works being undertaken. He further said that these works will be executed on a war footing with special attention on the quality of works.
Gupta requested Councillors of wards to talk to JMC to maintain adequate sanitation, regular lifting of garbage, removal of solid waste from drainages etc. He also inaugurated the construction work.
Ward President Sameer Andotra, Sanjay Gupta, Nayan Gupta, Vishal Gupta, Rohiin Chandan along with Local BJP activists and prominent citizens were present on the occasion.
