REASI, Sept 16: A short play “Insanyat Abhi Zinda Hai” was staged by artists of the Sangam Theatre Group Reasi in collaboration with Abhinaya Kala Manch Reasi at different venues of the district including Pouni, Katra, Reasi and Talwara. The play was written and directed by Mohammad Akram Khan.
The play was based on flood victims of the State. Through the play, the artists depicted flood affected people and problems being faced by them. Due to flash flood in entire J&K many people have lost their lives and thousands of people have been rendered helpless and homeless.
The narrator of the play asked the public for extending immediate help to the flood affected families through District Administration and recognized agencies.
The artist who performed in the play included Vishal Banathia, Manjeet Singh, Sachdev Singh, Arvind Goswami, Tarseem Kumar, Bhavanba Magotra, Anam Khan, Salma, Anjali Anand and Deepti Kesar. The music was designed by Rifat Yasmeen, makeup by Shadab Khan and costume by Raja Aamir Khan.
Panch, Sarpanch, local public, students and teachers witnessed the play.
Among others present were Mohammad Sarver Mir, Advocate and social activist, Shadab Khan, Som Raj, Shahrukh Khan, Sahil Abrol, Mohammad Rafiq and Dav Raj.
