Play ‘Rang Mey Bhung Nahi’ staged

JAMMU, Mar 18: Theatre Group ‘Ek Sath Rang Mandal’ here today staged Nukad play on Holi festival ‘Rang Mey Bhung Nahi’.
A handout of the theatre group stated that Holi is a festival of colours celebrated all over the country wherein different colours are thrown on each other and sweets are distributed among friends and relatives.
The handout further claimed that the play was for awareness about hazards of using chemical colours and wastage of water.
It also claimed that Holika Dehan adds carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide into the air while use of loudspeakers and other musical instruments creates noise pollution.
The theatre group recommended the use of organic colours made from flowers as was done in ancient times and claimed that chemically made colours can cause asthma, skin irritation, rashes, swelling and allergy.
Tariq Khan, eminent Film Producer was chief guest on this occasion while the artists who participated in the play were Kanta Sharma, Inderjeet Sambyal, Happy Gupta, Rahul Dev, Raju Mad, Maria, Ragheesh, Baby Khushi, Daksh and Vijay Malla.
This play was written and directed by Vijay Malla.
