JAMMU, Aug 6: Ek Sath Rang Mandal here today staged the play ‘Samaj Seva Aur Hum’ written and directed by Vijay Malla.
The play revolves around the moral of social service.
Nanu and Binu were two friends and their third friend Shamo was working overnight as a labourer after school hours. He had to earn money for his sister’s marriage.
Nanu and Binu decided to start a mission to get poor girls married and for that they started collecting Rs 50 each from the general public against a receipt. A temple management offered them venue for such marriages. They made a list of such poor girls and started from Shamo’s sister whom they got married with pomp and show.
This step was welcomed by the public and after this success Nanu and Binu started service of Medical Care for the old and needy people.
Artists who participated in the play were Raju Mad, Shelly Manhas, Rahul Dev, Shahid, Kavita and Vijay Malla.
