Despite enjoying perks and privileges, the State Government has doubled the salary of the State legislators. These lawmakers have the privilege of well furnished bungalows, free air tickets, security and what not at their disposal. But the same Government has delayed the implementation of 7th Pay Commission recommendations by two years.
Isn’t it quite ironical and shocking. Two sets of rules for the State subjects. Being an pensioner myself, I request the Chief Minister and these law makers to merge 100 percent DA into basic pay of employees and pensioners, at the earliest to relieve the employees of the agony of rising prices of essential commodities and medicines. The medical allowance be also enhanced to Rs 2500. This will to some extent help overcome the market crisis.
