JAMMU, Jan 22: The educationists and Sanskrit scholars stressed for the promotion of Sanskrit language in a function (Pratham Diksha Samaroh) held at Govt Higher Secondary School, Mubarak Mandi here today.
Prof Bhisham Murti Shastri, State coordinator, Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan, while speaking at the valedictory function of non-formal Sanskrit teaching programme, stressed for promoting Sanskrit language which is getting unfair deal today. He said it was the only Scientific language available in the world and it is imperative to study this language along with other pure sciences. Unfortunately, the language it getting rough deal from the Government and other sectors. If proper attention is not given, it will perish gradually. He pointed out that teaching/ learning of Sanskrit inculcates moral values and helps in development of moral education.
Principal of the School, Shashi Prabha, Coordinator Vijender Shastri and several other educationists also spoke on the occasion. They described that three month teaching programme remained a great success and the students got full benefit of it.
