Pledge ceremonies organised on ‘Resolution Day for Freedom from Corruption’

JAMMU, Aug 5: Pledge ceremonies were organised at different Police organisations here today on ‘Resolution Day for Freedom from Corruption’.
Zonal Police Headquarters (ZPHQ) Jammu Zone organised a solemn and momentous event in which a pledge ceremony was conducted on the Day of Resolution for Freedom from Corruption.
Vishal Manhas, SO to ADGP Jammu addressed the assembled officers and personnel of ZPHQ Jammu and emphasizing the critical importance of eradicating corruption from every facet of our society.
He also administered the pledge in which all officers and personnel solemnly vowed to discharge their duties with honesty, impartiality and transparency.
The ceremony was attended by Chief Prosecution Officer ZPHQ Jammu, Sajad Bhat; Accounts Officer of ZPHQ Jammu, Mukesh Sharma; Pvt Secy to ADGP Jammu, J.S Slathia; Senior Prosecuting Officer, ZPHQ Jammu, Himanshu Gupta; ADO ZPHQ Jammu, Narinder Singh and all officers/officials posted at ZPHQ Jammu.
A pledge ceremony on ‘Day of Resolution for Freedom from Corruption’ was held at Police Headquarters Srinagar.
DIG (Personnel) PHQ, M Suleman Choudhary administered oath to Police officers and personnel on this occasion.
The pledge taking ceremony was attended by Nisha Nathyal, DIG (Headquarters) PHQ, all AIGs of Police, PHQ and officers and personnel of PHQ & PCD.
During the ceremony, the officers & personnel took the pledge that they shall promote ethical business practices and foster a culture of honesty and integrity.
The ceremony was also held at all Districts, Wings, Zonal and Range headquarters of J&K Police across the UT with senior officers leading the officers and personnel under their command in the pledge taking ceremony.
The Crime Branch (CB) celebrated August 5 as the ‘Day of Resolution for Freedom from Corruption’ at its Jammu Headquarters.
SSP Benam Tosh administered a pledge to all Crime Branch officers and officials, committing to uphold honesty and integrity.
Senior officers, including SSP ANTF Raj Kumar, Deputy Superintendents of Police and Senior Prosecuting Officers were present on the occasion.
As per a statement, the week following August 5 will be observed as ‘Vigilance Awareness Week’ featuring seminars, symposiums and workshops aimed at raising awareness about corruption among citizens and Government employees.
On ‘Resolution Day for Freedom from Corruption’, District Police Ramban organised Integrity Pledge Ceremony on the directions of SSP Ramban, Anuj Kumar across all Police establishments in the district. At District Police Office Ramban, Additional Superintendent of Police, Gourav Mahajan administered the oath to Police officers and Jawans emphasizing the importance of working with zeal and enthusiasm to maintain the highest standards of honesty and foster a culture of integrity.
