Plight of earthquake victims

Sir,
Notwithstanding the State Govt’s stepmotherely treatment and indulgence of its coalition partners in the blame game over the important and sensitive issue of providing relief and rehabilitation assistance to the victims of Ist May earthquake disaster in Doda Distt. (old), the poor and helpless people of this badly affected area with their stretched faces in despair are still looking forward to the compensation from the State and Central Govt’s against the heavy damage caused to their residential houses in recent earthquake, but irony of the matter is that the State Govt despite being at the helm of the affairs has not come up with a concrete and comprehensive policy to mitigate the sufferings and woes  of earthquake victims till date and as such has compelled them to take refuge back in their unsafe declared houses completely exposed to the inevitable risk to life and property both.
Consequent upon the crucial and alarming situation developed in the area, the State Govt. must take cognizance of this horrible predicament and instead of playing number game politics or showing green pastures to the sufferers in the back drop of vote bank politics should immediately provide relief to the claimants in proportion to actual damage they are beset.
Yours etc….
