JAMMU, Mar 15: Punjabi Lekhak Sabha, Jammu (PLS-J) organized a literary function here today and released two Punjabi books ‘Sairan Bahrley Mulkan Diyan’, written by Dr. Monojit, renowned Punjabi & Hindi fiction writer and poet of J&K and ‘Aalochana De Ang Sang’, written by R.S Rajan, a renowned Punjabi writer from Kashmir.
A new Punjabi book series publication, titled ‘Asin’, having an editorial board of Dr. Monoji, Jang S. Verman, Harjit Singh Uppal and R.S Rajan, along with Dr. Baljit Singh Raina as its Managing Editor, was also released on this occasion.
Harwinder Kour, Secretary JKAACL was the chief guest on this occasion whereas Dr. Arvinder Singh Amn, former Additional Secretary JKAACL presided over the function.
The dais was shared by Dr. Baljit Raina, president, PLS; Dr. Monojit and R.S Rajan, authors of two books.
Two papers on the released books were presented by Dr. Harsimran Singh and Charanjeet Singh from University of Jammu.
Earlier, Dr. Baljit Raina delivered welcome address.
Dr. Monojit and R.S Rajan, authors of the released books and Dr. Arvinder Singh Amn also spoke on the occasion.
Dr. Shah Nawaz, Rattan Singh Kanwal, Harjit Singh Uppal, Ajit Singh Mastana and Devinder Singh Vishavnagrik also expressed their views on the released books.
Proceedings of the programme were conducted by Dr. Gurpreet Kour, secretary PLS-J. Vote of thanks was extended by Jang S. Verman, press secretary PLS-J.
