PLS releases book ‘Kacch Diyan Moortan’

JAMMU, Apr 11: In a function here today, a Punjabi children poetry book ‘Kacch Diyan Moortan’ written by Balwinder Singh Jammu was released by Punjabi Lekhak Sabha (PLS), Jammu.
Dr. Arvinder Singh Amn, former Additional Secretary JKAACL presided over the function whereas Surjit Singh, Secretary, Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee, Jammu was chief guest and Popinder Singh Paras, Editor Sheeraza Punjabi was special guest.
Dr. Baljeet Singh Raina, President, PLS-J and Balwinder Singh Jammu shared the dais.
President PLS-J delivered a welcome address and a paper on the contents and critical evaluation of the released book was presented by Charanjit Singh, Research Scholar at the Department of Punjabi, University of Jammu.
Dr. Arvinder Singh in his presidential address said that it’s encouraging that the children literature is being contributed by the writers of all languages of the region. Surjit Singh also spoke on the occasion.
Earlier writers Harbhajan Singh Upasak, Devinder Singh Vishavnagrik and Harjit Singh Uppal expressed their views on the released book.
The programme ended with vote of thanks by Jang S. Verman, Press Secretary, PLS-J.
