Plus 2 Forum alleges posting of 26 Lecturers against other subjects

JAMMU, Aug 3: The central executives of All J&K Plus 2 Lecturers’ Forum met at Jammu under the chairmanship of its president Kiranjeet Kour and registered their strong resentment on the transfer /posting of Lecturers vide order No 426-DSJE of 2015 dated 30.07.2015 in which approximately 26 postings out of 127 have been effected against other subjects.
“These transfers are in gross violation of the proposed Draft Transfer Policy by the department as some Lecturers have been transferred within zero kms whereas lot many serving in far-flung areas for more then 5 to 8 years, have been awaiting their transfers,” the meet observed and strongly advocated immediate modification of these transfers as they are against other subjects and thus bound to affect the results as well as enrolment in these schools.
The Forum appealed the concerned Principals to approach the Director School Education to take immediate remedial measures in the interest of students and institutions.
The Forum also expressed concern over delay in the disposal of grievances at DSE office and demanded that there should be provision of waiting hall for aggrieved, desirous of meeting the Director for the redressal of their grievances.
The Forum also highlighted some long pending demands of Plus 2 Lecturers, such as; ‘Benefits of Running Grades, residential accommodation facilities in the remote areas for the Principals and faculty members serving in these areas, rational Transfer Policy , etc.
To strengthen the organizational structure at district level, nominations for district body (Jammu) were announced by members of the core group.
Those who spoke on the occasion, included Anil Sharma, Dr Sushma, Romesh Slathia, Sanjay Bhagat, Pardeeep Singh, Narinder Singh Jamwal, Charan Dass, Dr Satvir Gupta, Tarsem Singh, Dr Ashok Sharma, Jyoti Sharma, Mulkh Raj, Kewal Sharma, Dushayant Singh and others.
