JAMMU, Sept 19: An emergent meeting of All J&K Plus Two Lecturers’ Forum was held under the chairmanship of its President, Deepak Sharma through virtual mode wherein the Forum demanded immediate repatriation of all J&K Government employees from Ladakh region.
Deepak Sharma said that a large number of Lecturers and other Education Department employees from UT of J&K are serving in Ladakh region and have not been transferred back to their respective home districts even after serving there for more than four years as against stipulated tenure of two years in Ladakh. Option was sought from the employees to choose between the two UTs on bifurcation of J&K state but it is unfortunate that those J&K Govt employees serving in Ladakh before the creation of two UTs are not being repatriated even on final apportionment despite the fact that they have opted for J&K, he added.
“Instead General Administration Department has sought replacement of those serving in Ladakh including 10+2 Lecturers from time to time but unfortunately no replacement has been provided by the Department,” said Deepak Sharma and urged Lieutenant Governor J&K, Manoj Sinha for his personal intervention for immediate repatriation of all J&K Government employees in general and Education employees in particular including 63 Lecturers working there without Deputation allowance.
Forum also demanded immediate filling up of vacant posts of Joint Secretaries in JKBOSE exclusively from officers/ Academicians drawn from School Education Department for smooth functioning of JKBOSE as they have thorough knowledge about the School Education Department and well versed with functioning of JKBOSE, being major stakeholders apart from students which JKBOSE caters to.
