JAMMU, June 30: A delegation of All J&K Plus Two Lecturers’ Forum, led by its president, Deepak Sharma, called on Director School Education Jammu, Anuradha Gupta and discussed with her various issues confronting the cadre.
Forum demanded immediate revocation of controversial order issued by DC Kishtwar about drawal of salary of teachers after authentication of their attendance by Panches and parents of locality, which has caused unrest amongst the teaching community whose dignity has been challenged.
Deepak Sharma said that teaching community is always at forefront in successful implementation of various Government programmes and flagship schemes, including Election process, Census , various awareness programmes and recent Back to Village programme. “But, it’s quite unfortunate that they are discriminated and disgraced by such unmindful orders when already Biometric attendance system is in place,” he said and added that monitoring should be strengthened by various teams of education officers only to plug any loophole.
The Forum also demanded issuance of formal order for benefit of earned leave in favour of those engaged in CM super50/Free tutorials during summer vacations in 2018. They also demanded immediate adjustment of promoted Principals and repatriation of Lecturers serving in far flung areas by affecting transfers for which online applications have already been sought.
The members also demanded revocation of SRO-202 and fixing of tenure of one year only in all Hard areas thereby redrawing/extending limits of Hard/Backward areas to provide teaching faculty in far flung areas as Government has failed to implement policy of posting Govt employees recruited from ALC/RBA areas for seven years in their respective areas and SRO-202 for five years.
Those who were part of delegation, included Narinder Singh Jamwal, Charan Dass, R S Salathia, Pardeep Singh , Dr Jyoti, Kewal Kumar and Renu Langeh.
