Plus 2 Lecturers’ call on Shaleen Kabra, submit memorandum

JAMMU, Feb 10: A delegation of All J&K Plus 2 Lecturers’ Forum called on Commissioner/ Secretary School Education Department, Shaleen Kabra and submitted a memorandum regarding the present scenario and the genuine problems being faced by the teaching fraternity of Plus 2 cadre.
Led by the Forum president N S Jamwal, delegation apprised the Commissioner Secretary that the department lacks definite transfer policy, which affects functioning of the School Education and needs attention. Stressing the need for a rational transfer policy to ensure justice to every individual, the Forum demanded suitable adjustment of the lecturers and principals, presently deployed in DIETs and SIE in surplus capacity on repatriation from Kashmir valley and far flung areas of Jammu division after completing their tenures. The Forum also suggested for the constitution of Human Resource Management (HRM) Cell at the administrative level so that the grievances relating to the human resources can be solved.
Mr Jamwal briefed the Commissioner/Secretary about the worst type of stagnation among the teaching fraternity in the School Education Department and demanded core issue running grade (time scale promotion) in favour of Plus 2 cadre as per SRO 225.
He further elaborated in details the burning issues as implementation of RMSA structure at district level, re-organization of the School Education Department, regularization of Incharge officers of School Education Department without further delay and enhancement of the grade pay of Principals and also declaration of their post as non vocational.
Commissioner/Secretary School Education gave patience hearing and assured the delegation about their issues for early solution.
