JAMMU, Feb 8: A delegation of All J&K Plus 2 Lecturers’ Forum under the chairmanship of RS Salathia and presidentship of Pardeep Singh Rakwal today met Director School Education (DSE) Jammu, Dr Ravi Shankar Sharma, in his office chamber and put forth various issues confronting the +2 cadre.
Among other issues, the delegation discussed the matter of regularization of all Incharge lecturers in one go including those who have acquired their PG degrees through distance mode in Science stream in the light of Government Order Number 940- Edu of 2017 dated 17.11.2017, Government Order Number 252 of Higher Education and SRO 339 dated 30.12.2005.
Pardeep Singh Rakwal said these lecturers have been posted after long verification process and hence do not need any further verification before regularization. He further said that no further delay would be tolerated now as this is the severest form of violation of human rights.
The Director was urged to recommend the grant of Assured Career Progression (ACP) in favour of officers of +2 cadre who despite being a cadre belonging to the elite class of the society, have been denied their rightful claim. Ghulam Nabi Malik, Balkrishan Tickoo, R K Uppal and others briefed the Director on regularization and grant of ACP with copies of Government orders.
Dr Ravi Shanker Sharma listened to the delegation and assured that he would do everything to deliver justice to the +2 cadre vis-a-vis regularization and grant of ACP.
The Forum also raised the issue of resumption of ATD for Principals, Lecturers including those appointed under SRO 202. The delegation also reiterated its demand of providing vacational status to Principals and creation of posts of Vice Principals in all the Higher Secondary Schools of UT.
Besides members from Kashmir wing of the Forum, others who were part of the delegation include Dr Sushma (vice chairman), Ghar Singh (general secretary), Dr Ashok Kumar (vice president), Renu Langae (female vice president), Parveen Akhtar (female district president Jammu), Sohan Singh (male district president Jammu), MS Parihar, Rajnesh, Jugeshwar, Rattan Singh Kotwal and Ajay Singh.
