Plus 2 Lecturers’ Forum calls on Chairman BOSE, raises issues

JAMMU, Apr 18: A delegation of All JK Plus 2 Lecturers’ Forum, led by Forum Chairman, R S Slathia and President Pardeep Singh Rakwal, today called on Chairman JKBOSE, Prof Parikshit Singh Manhas in his office chamber to discuss various issues.
Pardeep Singh Rakwal raised variety of issues pertaining to examination, evaluation, inspection and age-old charges of evaluation and remuneration of conducting examination.
He also raised the issue of lack of facilities at the evaluation centres at JKBOSE Jammu and suggested for evaluation in shift-system to address the issue of parking of vehicles of the evaluators. He also raised the issue of unnecessary interference of lower rank officials at the examination centres, thereby, denying candidates the congenial atmosphere to appear in various examination.
Rakwal suggested that no officer below the rank of CEO /DIET Principal and SDM from civil administration should be authorised to enter the examination centre to maintain sanctity of the examination. He urged the Chairman JKBOSE to revise the rates of evaluation to at least Rs 50 per script in case of theory and Rs 20 per script in case of practicals.
Similarly, R S Slathia demanded the revision of remuneration charges to Superintendents, Dy Superintendents and other supervisory staff for conducting various board examination in consonance with the fees being charged from the examinees.
It was also urged by Paramjeet Singh (Advisor of the Forum) to revisit the decision of the board authorities by virtue of which Superintendents including female Superintendents are supposed to collect their questions papers from police station. Ghar Singh (Gen Secy) urged the JKBOSE authorities to install CCTV at the examination centres for fair and smooth conduct of the examination.
Chairman JKBOSE said that he would definitely address all genuine issues on priority and would leave no stone unturned to resolve them. He also assured the delegation that he would look into the facilities being provided to the evaluators by the JKBOSE at the evaluation centres.
The Chairman JKBOSE informed that he has lifted the age bar ban on evaluators and now onwards retired Lecturers can also be given the job of evaluation.
