JAMMU, Dec 13: A delegation of All J&K +2 Lecturers ‘ Forum, led by Pardeep Singh Rakwal, President and RS Salathia, Chairman, called on Minister of School Education, Sakina Masood Itoo in her office chamber at Civil Secretariat Jammu and submitted her a memorandum of demands.
Among various issues, aimed at providing quality education to the students at +2 level in the light of NEP 2020, the issue of Regularisation of incharge lecturers prominently figured in the meet with the minister.
The minister was explained that regularisation of Incharge lecturers was not going to put any additional burden on the financial health of the state exchequer because they were already working against the vacant sanctioned posts of Lecturers which was already included in the J&K budget.
In her response, Sakina Itoo said that she had advised the Principal Secretary SED, Suresh Kumar Gupta to immediately fix a date for convening DPC meet for regularisation of Incharge lecturers.
The other issues that were raised by the delegation, included filling of vacant posts of Principals by promoting senior lecturers and grant of ACP to fulfill long pending demand of the Forum.
