UDHAMPUR, May 15: The monthly meeting of the district Udhampur unit of All J& K Plus 2 Lecturers’ Forum was held under the chairmanship of Ashok Sharma, district president of the Forum here today.
The speakers expressed pleasure over the recently declared result of 12th class (Summer zone) by JKBOSE in which 29 students from Government schools have secured merit positions. They demanded that these students and their lecturers and Principals be felicitated by awarding them appreciation certificates.
The speakers expressed concern over the policy of pick and choose adopted in recent orders of modification of lecturers issued by DSEJ. They demanded that transfer policy be implemented in toto and transfers be effective only during summer/winter breaks and the transfer orders of hard hit Principals and lecturers be reviewed for modification.
They also demanded that lecturers and teachers selected on the RBA/ALC category who have not served in notified RBA/ALC areas for seven years as per the Reservation Act be transferred to RBA/ALC areas so that the students studying in such areas are benefitted.
The speakers also criticised the JKBOSE for delay in supplying marks cards to the students and their parents, which led to hardships and inconvenience of students.
Prominent among others who spoke on the occasion included Arunesh Kumar,Ashwani Kumar, Pawan Abrol, Ram Murti, Joginder Gupta, Pawan Kumar, Bishan Sharma and others
