Plus 2 Lecturers’ Forum highlights demands

UDHAMPUR, Mar 9: A meeting of the district unit of Plus 2 Lecturers’ Forum was held here today under the chairmanship of Arunesh Kumar, district president of the Forum, wherein the speakers highlighted various issues of Plus 2 lecturers.
In the largely attended meeting, the speakers expressed concern over the inordinate delay in the adjustment of newly promoted lecturers to fill up the vacancies in schools and highlighted various demands like enhancement of the grade pay of Principals and declaration of their post as non vacational, removal of pay anomaly of lecturers in Physical Education, Running Pattern and regularization of all Joint Directors, Chief Education Officers, Principals and lecturers serving in the Incharge capacity in the School Education Department.
The speakers also demanded that JKBOSE should publish an annual calendar of the various activities such as holding of examinations, declaration of results etc so that the students do not face any problem.
Speaking on the occassion, Arunesh Kumar shared the concern of the speakers and urged the concerned authorities to concede all the demands projected by them. He also demanded that the Incharge incumbents in the School Education Department be regularized at the earliest.
He also demanded that there should be a rational and transparent transfer policy in the School Education Department and it should be strictly implemented. He further demanded enhancement in remuneration rates of supervisory and evaluation duties of JKBOSE, holding of examinations in time, timely clearance of bills and publication of annual calendar of various activities by the Board.
The meeting hoped that the new Government will take measures to redress the grievances of Plus 2 cadres. He also expressed hope that new Education Minister, Nayem Akhter, will try his best to streamline the School Education Department.
Prominent among others who addressed the meeting include Parjesh Kumar, Ram Murti, Luxmi Kant, Ravi Kanchan, Joginder Kumar and Dev Raj.
