Plus 2 Lecturers Forum highlights various demands, issues

JAMMU, Nov 6: The two divisional bodies and all District units of All J&K +2 Lecturers ‘ Forum met through Zoom meeting to have a threadbare discussion on various issues and developmental activities in the interest of student community.
The meeting was chaired by RS Salathia, Chairman of the Forum and prominently attended among others by Pardeep Singh Rakwal, President, All J&K +2 Lecturers’ Forum Jammu division; All JK +2 Lecturers Forum Kashmir Division; District Presidents and a number of Principals and Lecturers from all over the J&K UT.
R S Salathia, Pardeep Singh Rakwal, Fida Gulzar ( General Secretary Kashmir), Ghar Singh (General Secretary Jammu) , Pardeep Koul (District President Kishtwar and others requested Principal Secretary SED, Alok Kumar to elevate more Senior Lecturers as Principals in the interest of students as a large number of posts of Principals are lying vacant in the UT They also requested the Principal Secretary to settle long pending issue of regularisation of I/C lecturers and ACP on priority.
Both the divisional units of the Forum, led by Rakwal, Gulzar and Ghar Singh, raised the issue of release of list of Sr Lecturers/ Lecturers who have undergone a long process of applying, interaction for SCERT by virtue of which SED invited applications followed by a long process of interaction for their transfer to SCERT.
Surinder Madhyal, District President Kathua and others urged Director School Education Jammu, Ashok Kumar Sharma to change the school timing in winter zone areas of Jammu division on the analogy of Kashmir division. They said that keeping in view the onset of winter, short days and hilly terrain, the students especially the girl students reach back to their homes in the dark, thereby causing worry to their parents .
On the proposal of Gazetted Services Recruitment Rules , the Forum said that they have submitted a detailed draft in response to Government invitation and urged the Department to include all these suggestions in the final draft.
Others who spoke in the virtual meet, include, Dr Ashok, Rajeev Sharma, B D Sharma, Raj Kumar, Ashwani Kumar, Paramjeet Singh, Rattan Singh, Manzoor Ahmed, Sandeep Rathore, Abdul Khaliq, Madan Lal and Riyaz Ahmed.
