Plus 2 Lecturers Forum holds meet, highlight demands

DODA, Aug 10: All J&K Plus 2 Lecturers Forum held a meeting under the chairmanship of its district president Dr Anis Ahmed, in which various problems especially shortage of staff in the Higher Secondary Schools and the transfers of Lecturers to other districts were discussed.
While speaking, Dr Anis Ahmed said that recent transfers and adjustments of Lecturers from district Doda to districts Leh and Kargil have further worsened the situation in various schools of the district
The future of about 5674 students in higher secondary schools of Doda district has been put in dark by the higher authorities. Keeping in view the prevalent situation how the result of the lecturers/Principals will be maintained in the forthcoming sessions.
He opined that if Academic Arrangement Pay will be raised to Rs 20,000 the candidates seeking employment would be willing to serve even in the remote areas as well.
Dr Ahmed appealed the Chief Minister and MLA’s of district Doda to consider the matter and disallow transfers from district Doda to Leh/Kargil in future.
Among others present were SK Chandial Vice President, Tanveer Wani, Virendar Singh, Mohd Ayaz Mugal, Shamim Nazake, Bharat Bhushan, Bharm Rattan, Mohd Imtiaz Khanji, Mohd Ayub, executives and core members.
