Plus 2 Lecturers highlight core issues

JAMMU, May 26: Plus 2 PSC Lecturers Association today raised its core issues in a meeting held at Akhnoor.
The meeting was attended by a number of PSC appointed lecturers of zone Akhnoor and presided over by Manjeet Chib (president of the Association).
The cadre members discussed the current educational scenario and highlighted the issues of their concern. The members appealed LG Manoj Sinha to fulfill their long pending and genuine demands of implementation of recommendations of 7th Pay Commission by according 3 financial up gradation which will ensure career progression and bring +2 lecturers of J&K UT at par with the lecturers working in other states and UTs like NCTE, Delhi, Punjab and Haryana.
The members strongly projected the demand of MACP and urged Principal Secretary to use his chair for getting this long cherished demand fulfilled. While discussing the current educational scenario +2 lecturers hailed the department for completing the process of ATD 1st phase and requested Principal Secretary to issue orders of ATD 2nd phase in a time bound manner so that the academic process may not hampered and go with the same pace.
The cadre members also expressed concern over the technical issue of the portal and said that all the vacant posts are not reflecting on the portal .They said that some of the lecturers have applied on clear vacancies but have not been considered even the posts are still lying vacant. They said that in some cases lecturers working in hard zones have also not been considered for transfers, which is sort of injustice and torture.
Those who attended the meeting include chief coordinator Sandeep Sharma, media secretary Anjali Jamwal, treasurer Dr Sanjay Arora, liason officer Sandeepan Gupta, Jagdev Singh, coordinator, Amit Bhagat and others.
