Plus 2 lecturers hold meet, discuss new transfer policy

UDHAMPUR, Dec 25: All J&K Plus 2 Lecturers Forum held a meeting here under the chairmanship of its president Ashok Kumar Sharma.
The meeting was convened to discuss the new transfer policy issued by School Education Department and the recommendation of the Cabinet Sub Committee to divert eight newly created posts of Joint Directors, School Education to KAS cadre.
The speakers welcomed the transfer policy for employees of School Education Department as also fixing the tenure of service of employees in Ladakh and other such areas for one year but resented that more far flung and remote areas such as Panchari zone and Dudu zone of Udhampur district ought to have been included in zone 3 on the lines of Mahore zone of district Reasi. They also demanded implementation of transfer policy in letter and spirit.
Speakers also appreciated the Government’s decision to integrate various schools and demanded that staff in schools be provided in accordance with the subject need and strength of the schools. They hailed the BOSE for enhancing the rates of remuneration of evaluation of Board exams and demanded that remuneration in respect of supervisory duties be enhanced suitably.
The speakers expressed shock and surprise over recommendation of Cabinet Sub Committee to divert newly created eight posts of Joint Directors and said that the Plus 2 cadre would oppose such a move tooth and nail.
Prominent among those present in the meeting were Jaspal, Pawan Abrol, Ram Murti, Bishan Sharma, Ashwani Kumar, Bhim Sein,Luxmi Kant and others.
