Plus 2 Lecturers hold monthly meeting, highlight demands

UDHAMPUR, July 16: The monthly meeting of the District Udhampur unit of All J&K Plus 2 Lecturers’ Forum was held, here today under the chairmanship of Ashok Sharma, district president of the Forum.
In the meeting, the speakers said that a large number of incharge incumbents, in the School Education Department, including Jt Directors/SIE Principals, CEOs/DIET Principals, Principals of HSS Schools, ZEOs, Headmasters, Lecturers, dropout Lecturers, were awaiting their regularization for years together. They demanded that all of them be regularized at the earliest to end inchargism in the department. The Incharge lecturers in discipline of Physical Education, present in the meeting, also demanded early regularization of all 192 Incharge Lecturers in Physical Education and upradation of their post at par with lecturers in other disciplines.
The speakers also demanded ban on piecemeal transfers and said that transfer orders be issued in accordance with the Transfer Policy announced by the Government.
The speakers also resented that even after the lapse of about a year and despite highlighting the demand repeatedly, the orders for the sanction of incentives in favour of those Principals, Lecturers, Masters, teachers etc, who were engaged to run extra classes during the summer vacation last year, was not issued. They demanded early issuance of orders in this respect and rationalization of staff in the schools in accordance with the roll and subject need.
They also demanded early clearance of bills of staff engaged by JKBOSE for the purpose of supervision and evaluation in Board exams and change in timings for starting the exam from 2 PM to 1 PM in view of the hardships being faced by the superintendents and other staff of the centres located in far flung regions.
Prominent among those, who were present on the occasion, included Arunesh Kumar, Ashwani Kumar, Mohan Lal Sharma, Ram Murti, Luxmi Kant, Ravi Kanchan, Virinder Gupta, Joginder Gupta, Veena Rani and others.
