Plus 2 Lecturers Organization apprises Kabra of its demands

JAMMU, Feb 15: A delegation of Central Working Committee members of Plus 2 Lecturers’ Organization (Jammu Province) called on Shaken Kabra, Commissioner Secretary School Education Department and apprised him of the demands and grievances of the cadre.
The CWC members highlighted the issue of improper fixation of seniority of lecturers and its adverse impact on the directly recruited lecturers. They requested the Secretary to facilitate in the matter so that no injustice is done to the direct recruits or anyone else and seniority is fixed according to standing rules and orders.
The PSC Lecturers also raised the long pending demand of Running Grade. They explained that a teacher gets time bound promotion, Master grade and then Lecturer grade while the lecturers recruited directly remain in the same grade for always and many of them retire in the same grade.
The direct recruits also highlighted that many lecturers have been serving at far away stations in other districts for more than 3, even 6 years. Such lecturers have great resentment and are feeling victimized. They appealed the Secretary to do justice with these lecturers as they have high hopes on him.
The Secretary gave a patient hearing and assured the delegation that he would look into their issues and grievances.
Those who comprised the delegation, included Manjit Singh, Manzoor Ahmed Katoch, Ajay Singh Baloria, Farooq Ahmed, Abbas Rather, Sandeep Sharma, Rajneesh Sharma, Rakesh Choudhary, Mohd. Ehsaan and others.
