Plus-2 Lecturers raise demands

JAMMU, Jan 4: All J&K Plus-2 Lecturers’ Forum has demanded benefits of running grade and time bound promotions.
In a meeting here today, chaired by Forum President, Deepak Sharma, its members discussed raised various demands.
The Forum demanded expediting of process of regularization of all incharge officers of education department many of whom have already retired.
Release of promotion lists of Joint Directors, CEOs and equivalents, Principals and equivalents and Senior Lecturers as per 1/3rd cadre strength of lecturers was also demanded along with the demand of filling up of all the vacancies.
Other demands included revocation of SRO-202 for all cadres including Plus-2 Lecturers and instead framing up of a policy of tenure of one year only in hard areas on the analogy of Ladakh region.
The Forum also demanded either fixation of induction quota in favour of Plus-2 Lecturers or repatriation of Joint Directors from KAS Cadre working in Education Department to their Parent Departments.
Many other demands included non-vocational status to Principals/Head of the Institutions, restoration of 40 percent in-service college quota, removal of pay anomalies and regularization of Physical Education Lecturers and repatriation of those who have completed their tenure in Ladakh region.
Prominent among others present in the meeting were N.S Jamwal, Anil Sharma, R.S Slathia, Charan Dass, Dr. Anees, Sanjay Bhagat and Pardeep Singh.
