RAMBAN, July 8: Demand-ing extension of benefits of Assured Career Progression / time bound promotion, members of All J&K Plus Two PSC Lecturers Association today submitted memorandum to the Government.
The copies of memorandum were submitted by the Association District representatives to their respective Deputy Commissioners, raising the long pending demands.
In the memorandum, the Association has explained that it had already taken up the issue with then Finance Minister Haseeb Drabu and Education Minister Altaf Bukhari before implementation of 7th Pay Commission. The same was highlighted in the budget speech also by then Finance Minister stating that the benefits of Assured Career Progression (ACP) will be extended to all the gazetted officers of the State who don’t have time bound promotion.
Through the memorandum, Association has appealed Governor to fulfill the long pending demand of ACP/TBT in favour of Lecturers, who are suffering stagnation. It is sorry state of the matter that SRO- 202 was also implemented on only lecturers among gazetted cadres which also needs to be revoked, said Mansoor Alam Khan, vice president of the Association and M A Katoch, the spokesperson of the Association, while addressing the members at Ramban.
President of All J&K Plus Two PSC Lecturers Association, Faisal Nayeem Parray exhorted the Association members to remain united for a struggle if the Government does not take action on their demands.
