JAMMU, July 14: Central Working Committee Jammu of All J&K Plus Two PSC Lecturer Association held an emergency meeting and raised the long pending demand of Assured Career Progression (ACP).
The meeting was attended by all executive members and district representatives of Jammu province. The delegates highlighted the core issue of implementation of Assured Career progression (ACP) in favour of plus two lecturers and said that they have submitted a detailed representation to Service Grievance Committee, headed by K K Sharma but no progress has been witnessed so far.
They appealed Governor Satya Pal Malik to intervene and swiftly implement assured career progression in favour of +2 lecturers. “Plus two lecturers are committed to raise the standard of quality education and to deliver their best in the class but it is imperative to boost them by providing financial incentives,” they stressed and added that plus two lecturers are only intellectual lot who are denied of the benefits of assured career progression which is a sort of humiliation and mental torture which needs to be addressed for the welfare of lecturer community.

“If the demand is not conceded, we will have no option other than to go on pen down strike,” warned Manjeet Chib, convenor of CWC Jammu.
